Refugium offers research based lectures and workshops on issues like inner and outer sustainability, resilience, transformation and well-being for individuals and groups. Ann-Christin has a special interest in how temporality is linked to the health and well-being of People and Planet and explores the nexus of slow/simple/sustainable in both her work and personal life. As of May 2025 Ann-Christin is a member of the executive committee of the newly established Reclaiming Slow Nordic ECEC network led by professor Alison Clark and founded by NORDPLUS Higher Education. This will facilitate her research and education as well as her work within the health and well-being community.

For organizations and businesses, Refugium also co-creates events focusing on workplace health promotion (TYHY/TYKY) as well as consultations for promoting internal and external sustainability. A special focus is directed towards a sustainable organizational culture based upon dialogic processing of themes like value based work, work-life-balance, interpersonal communication, and sustainable leadership.

During 2025 Refugium has facilitated professional development with customers such as Bildningsalliansen, Continuous Learning at Åbo Akademi, and the Wellbeing Services County of Ostrobothnia.  She has given lectures and guided workshops both in Finland and Sweden.
